What an auditor asks, and what you can now show

ISO 22002 clause 16.2, FSSC 22000 clause 2.5.3, BRCGS 4.2 and SQF 2.7.1 all ask the same thing in different words: show me your threat assessment, show me the methodology that decided which threats are significant, show me the measures you selected against them, and show me who verifies that those measures work. A fence, a camera and a locked gate do not answer that. Neither does a hazard register with the words changed, which is the single most common finding on this clause. This tool answers it.

What you get

Fourteen access points, already written. The boundary, reception and contractors, goods receiving, bulk intake and tanks, open product lines and hoppers, ingredient stores, the chemical store, packaging and labels, water and utilities, dispatch, transport, the information systems, confidential information, and your suppliers and service providers. Each one carries the threat actor, the motivation, the scenario written as an attacker would plan it, the capability and time needed, and what would detect it today.
Scoring that is the method, not a spreadsheet with colours. Attractiveness and vulnerability average to a likelihood with halves rounding up, multiplied by the impact. Low, Low-Med, Medium, High and Critical, significant from a rating of 5. The tool shows the working, so you can defend the number.
Residual scoring that will not let you cheat. The tool says plainly that a measure controlling access moves vulnerability, not attractiveness and not impact, because that is where sites most often lose the argument with an auditor.
A mitigation plan in layers. Deter and deny, detect, delay and respond, with the verification activity, its frequency, the responsible role, the records and the incident trigger. A line rated High or Critical is flagged for measures in more than one layer.
An action tracker that builds itself. Every line significant on the inherent rating gets an action with an owner and a target date, and the list rebuilds whenever a score changes.
A gap check before the auditor does it. Lines with no score, significant lines with no measures, significant lines with no verification activity, actions with no owner or no date.
The Excel workbook. Team and Method, Threat Assessment, Mitigation Plan, Risk Register, Matrixes and Action Tracker, formatted, carrying your site name and your revision number.

How it works

Buy the tool. Your workspace is created on ascfoodsafety.com and the welcome email carries the link and the key.
Enter your site name, your scope and your team. The scope sentence is the first thing an auditor reads.
Work down ASC’s fourteen access points. Change what is not true of your facility, delete what does not apply, add what is missing.
Score each line. The rating, the band and the action list update as you type, and the tool tells you which lines an auditor would ask about first.
Download the Excel workbook for the audit or the management review. Come back and update it whenever something changes, and export it again.

Built on the standards

The method is ASC’s RA02 Food Defence (TACCP) risk assessment, the same workbook our consultants install on client sites, with PAS 96:2026 as the method reference and the FSSC 22000 Guidance Document on Food Defense behind the structure. The clause mapping is ISO 22002 clause 16.2, FSSC 22000 Version 7 clause 2.5.3, BRCGS Food Issue 9 clause 4.2 and SQF Edition 9 clause 2.7.1.
