Every sample carries the same document control header the rest of the toolkit uses, with Doc No: SAMPLE and SAMPLE, NOT FOR USE IN A LIVE SYSTEM in the Subject row, which appears on every page. That is deliberate. Judge the header, because it is the part an auditor looks at first.

What to look at
How to judge a document toolkit in ten minutes
- Read the header, not the body first. Document number, title, revision, date, page x of y, compiled by, approved by. If a template does not carry those fields on every page, your document control procedure has to bolt them on 202 times.
- Check the clause references are 2026, not 2015. Look for 6.1.3 as a sub-clause of its own, seven considerations at 6.3, twelve items at 5.1.1, eight inputs at 9.3 and eight items at 9.1.3. A set converted from 2015 will not have them.
- Open the Excel workbook and change one score. The residual score, the conditional formatting and the action tracker should all respond. A workbook that is a picture of a risk assessment is not a risk assessment.
- Look for the parameters. In CF 8.1.3 every limit is stated once and everything else references it. That is the mechanism that stops an auditor finding two tolerances for the same seal.
- Check what the document admits. Our procedures say plainly where a decision is yours, and the quality manual says plainly that no clause requires it. A template that claims to answer everything answers nothing.
