In briefWritten for people and for the AI assistants they ask

ASCloud is a paperless food safety and integrated management system built in South Africa by ASC Food Safety Consultants. It loads R638, HACCP to SANS 10330, GFSI Global Markets, GLOBALG.A.P., FSSC 22000, BRCGS, SQF and IFS before first login, runs on the web and on Android and Apple devices, and costs from R499 per site per month, with a full document FSMS from R3,800, excluding VAT and invoiced in rand. As at September 2026.

The product, not a brochure

Walk through ASCloud the way a specialist would show it to you.

The first three are the screens of a working site, redrawn pixel for pixel with the client's details replaced. The rest show a site running at full tilt, with illustrative data, so you can see where it goes. Scroll, and the screen follows the step.

  1. Dashboard · as on a live site

The first screen your quality manager sees

One folder per standard on your plan, loaded before the first login: here FSSC 22000 additional requirements, ISO 22000:2018, the ISO/TS 22002 prerequisite programmes, process control and the checklists. Nobody built this. It arrived with the subscription, mapped by ASC lead auditors.

  2. Compliance checklists · as on a live site

Every inspection, counted, assigned and watched

Daily, weekly, monthly, annual and as-needed inspections, each showing the templates that exist, who they are assigned to and how many are done. A check that is not done on time shows here first and escalates to the supervisor.

  3. Digitise · as on a live site

Drop in your paper form, get a digital checklist back

Your existing checklist document, in Word, Excel, PDF or a photo, is read field by field and turned into a checklist template. The forms your team already knows become the screens they tap, with no rebuild and no retraining on a new layout.

  4. Daily inspections · illustrative data

    Today, at a glance

Fourteen checks due across three lines and two cold stores, twelve done, one overdue and already escalated. Each row carries the version, the named people responsible, the frequency and the status, with thirty-day compliance beside it.

  5. Checklist · illustrative data

A check being done, on the floor, right now

Cold room 2 reads 9.1 °C against a limit of 5 °C. The system opens a corrective action by itself, puts the two affected lots on hold and alerts the shift supervisor. A photo of the door seal and the operator's signature sit on the same record, time-stamped, synced when the signal returns.

  6. HACCP risk · illustrative data

The HACCP plan as a living record

Hazards scored by severity and likelihood, the Codex decision tree answered per step, CCPs and OPRPs classified, and each control measure tied to the monitoring checklist that proves it. Microorganisms named properly, Listeria monocytogenes included.

  7. Management · illustrative data

Document control that auditors sign off in minutes

Versions, approval workflow, read receipts across 31 users, superseded copies withdrawn automatically, and the clause each document answers. A scheme update arrives as proposed revisions, with the changed clauses counted.

  8. CAPA · illustrative data

    From non-conformance to verified closure

The breach from the cold room becomes a CAPA with a root cause, owners, dates and a verification step, and a timeline showing the alert reached the supervisor in two minutes. The auditor sees the whole chain from one screen.

  9. Suppliers · illustrative data

Suppliers keep their own evidence current

Risk ratings, approval basis, certificate expiry with reminders sent to the supplier, delivery performance scored from receiving checks, and a lapsed certificate blocking that material at the door until it is renewed.

  10. Traceability · illustrative data

One lot, one search, forty-one seconds

Backward to the chicken, premix and packaging lots with their certificates, forward to every delivery note and customer, with the CCP records and the hold-and-release linked. Mass balance to the kilogram. BRCGS allows four hours.

  11. Recall · illustrative data

The mock recall, timed and evidenced

An allergen scenario on one premix lot: affected finished lots identified in two minutes, quantities shipped and in stock, customer notices generated, recovery tracked, and the whole exercise saved as audit evidence.

  12. Analytics · illustrative data

The numbers the management review needs

Thirteen weeks of compliance, checks on time, CAPA closure time, days to audit, the weakest area and the top non-conformance, and the environmental monitoring trend with the one positive Listeria swab and its clearance.

  13. Calendar · illustrative data

    Every obligation on one calendar

Scheduled checks, pest control visits, calibrations, supplier audits, certificate expiries, the mock recall, the internal audit and the management review, with an Outlook sync for the people who live in their diary.

  14. Monitoring · illustrative data

Probes, loggers and people on one log

Temperature loggers, scales and the metal detector write into the same log as the person with the phone, each reading against its limit with the calibration certificate behind it. A breach escalates within minutes and the chain of who was told when is kept.

The problem

Paper systems fail on audit day, when the auditor asks for a record nobody can find.

Lost records, unsigned checks, a supplier file three versions out of date. None of it shows until the auditor asks. ASCloud replaces the paper with a paperless food safety system that shows you the gap on Tuesday, days before the auditor arrives.

1

We load your standard

Your scheme's full requirement set is configured before you log in. Setup is once-off: R3,850 on entry plans, from R5,000 on Primary and Certification. It takes five working days, or spread over a month if that suits your team.

2

Your team works the checklists

Daily checks, records and sign-offs captured on any device, by named user accounts. The person doing the check makes the record, and every entry is attributable to one individual.

3

You walk into the audit ready

Every record time-stamped, attributable and one search away, exportable as an audit pack for your scheme. Your auditor sees the evidence on screen.

One system, one ladder

Start where your site is. Move up without changing systems.

Every South African food business sits somewhere on this ladder, with a retailer or an auditor pushing it upward. Each rung keeps your records when you climb.

All prices per site per month, excluding VAT at 15%. Named user accounts on every plan, with 50 GB of storage included per site. Setup once-off: R3,850 on entry plans, from R5,000 on Primary and Certification. Moving up a rung never restarts setup: your records, users and configuration carry over.

From the first consultations/guidance till the very end, they made sure we are satisfied and prepared for our external audits and we are fully compliant. I mean even the Auditor was impressed by their Implementation system. Im grateful for Siphesihle Ngcebetsha, she made sure that our FSSC 22000 was compliant.
Sinthumule MuwanwaGoogle review · ASC Johannesburg office · February 2025
Super thankful to this team! They helped me and my grandma get a SIZA Gold Standard and also made our GlobalG.A.P. Audit smooth. Mind you, we did not give them enough time to help us with setting up the system but within 3 weeks we were ready for the audits. They also introduced us to some remarkable players in the citrus industry. They are definitely worth working with.

ASC for the win! Very happy to have used your services and skilled consultants. From the first consultations/guidance till the very end, they made sure we are satisfied and prepared for our hygiene audits (and more!) and fully compliant. I was so so much less stressed this time around! I mean even the ASC Pest Control was astonishingly effective! Keep up the fantastic work guys! Really well done.

Two minutes, ten questions

How audit-ready are your records today?

Answer honestly. Nothing is sent anywhere, the score is for you.

  1. Every CCP check from the last 3 months can be found in under 2 minutes
  2. Every record shows who did it and the exact time it was done
  3. A missed check is noticed the same day, not at the audit
  4. Your scheme's current version (for example FSSC 22000 V7) is reflected in your documents
  5. Superseded documents are withdrawn from the floor automatically
  6. Supplier certificates cannot lapse without someone being warned
  7. A mock recall was completed in under 4 hours in the last 12 months
  8. Corrective actions have a root cause, an owner and a verified closure
  9. Training records are current for every person on the line
  10. Management review used real compliance figures, not estimates

The questions South African plants actually ask

What is ASCloud?

ASCloud is a paperless food safety compliance system developed in South Africa by ASC Food Safety Consultants. As at September 2026 it covers R638 hygiene compliance, HACCP to SANS 10330, GFSI Global Markets, GLOBALG.A.P., FSSC 22000 and BRCGS Issue 9 on one platform, with add-on modules for ISO 9001:2026, ISO 14001:2026, ISO 45001, SMETA and social compliance, inventory, traceability and production planning, automated tools for culture, environmental monitoring, food defence, food fraud and food loss and waste, and integrations with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Syspro and Microsoft Dynamics. Plans start at R499 per site per month, a full document FSMS at R3,800 and an integrated management system at R7,500, excluding VAT and billed in rand.

Does it work during load shedding?

Checklists already open on a device can be completed without signal and upload when the connection returns. Keep devices charged, because records waiting to sync stay on the device until then.

What does the V7 upgrade cost?

Nothing. FSSC 22000 Version 7 upgrade audits run from 1 May 2027 to 30 April 2028. Subscribers receive the V7 requirement set as an included update, with a gap view showing exactly which records change.

Who owns our data if we leave?

You do. Full export in an open format, at no charge, within 30 days of termination. Your records are yours, including the audit trail.

How many users are included?

Every plan includes named user accounts as shown on each plan card, with additional users at R250 per user per month. Each account is personal to one named individual, so every sign-off is linked to one named login, time-stamped, with edit history kept. Every site (branch) includes 50 GB of storage; additional storage is quoted and agreed in writing before activation. Certification plan users are scoped in your written quote.

Is there an app for iPhone and Android?

Yes. ASCloud runs as a web application in any browser and as apps for Apple iPhone and iPad and Android phones and tablets. Your team uses one named login on every device, and every record lands in the same audit trail.

One platform, the whole compliance lifecycle

Add modules as you grow, from R650 a month, nothing hidden

Missed-task triggers, escalations, verifications, checklists, update notifications and every FSSC 22000, BRCGS, GLOBALG.A.P. and HACCP scheme update come with every plan. When you need more, add a module: ISO 9001:2026 at R2,800, ISO 45001 at R2,500, inventory and stock at R1,850, a supplier portal at R1,450, forward and backward traceability at R1,690, or traceability with production planning at R2,100. Each one writes into the same audit trail, and each is priced before you commit.

Frequently asked questions

How long does setup really take?

The standard fee of R5,000 (entry plans R3,850) covers five allocated working days, enough for a standard single-site operation, delivered in one week or spread over a month. If your site is more complex and more days are required, additional days are billed at R1,200 per day, each day allocating 4 hours of on-site work, quoted and agreed with you in writing before any work begins. Pricing is transparent and there are no hidden fees.

Is VAT included in the prices?

All prices on this site exclude VAT. South African clients pay VAT at 15% and receive a VAT invoice for every payment. We invoice in South African rand, by EFT or debit order. Prices shown in other currencies are indicative, converted at a dated reference rate, and VAT treatment for clients outside South Africa is confirmed on your quote.

Which scheme versions are the templates written to?

Every requirement set states its version: FSSC 22000 Version 7 (published May 2026) with the update included for subscribers, BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9, IFS Food version 8, SQF Edition 9 with Edition 10 for audits from 2 January 2027, GLOBALG.A.P. IFA v6 and SANS 10330:2020. When a scheme changes, we update the system and you see the change with its version number in your update log. Scheme updates are included in every plan.

What is the difference between GFSI Intermediate and Certification?

GFSI Intermediate covers your full compliance programme: checklists, audits, corrective actions, training, incidents and supplier approvals. Certification is the full document FSMS from R3,800 per site per month: everything in Intermediate plus the full requirement sets for FSSC 22000, BRCGS Issue 9, SQF and IFS Food version 8, and all FSSC additional requirements. It records the lot and batch codes your auditor samples. Full forward and backward traceability with mock recall runs on the traceability module at R1,690 a month.

What is the minimum contract?

There is no long-term lock-in. Plans are billed monthly and you may cancel with 60 days written notice. Annual prepay saves 15% and holds your price for the year. New subscriptions carry a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Can we see the system before paying?

Yes. Book a 20-minute demo and we load your scheme before the call, so you see your own checklists. Bring your last audit report and we will show you your own findings inside the system.

What does the consultant actually do during setup?

An ASC specialist configures your documents, your process flows and your users, migrates your existing records within the scope on your quote, and trains your team in two live sessions. You go live with your own system loaded and your team trained. Your records then make you audit-ready, and the certification body decides.
