The ASCloud production planning module schedules production runs by line, product, shift and capacity, and links each run to the food safety checks it needs, such as pre-start, allergen changeover, CCP monitoring and line clearance. It is a separate paid module because production planning serves operational efficiency, resource allocation and capacity, while the FSMS serves risk mitigation, compliance and product safety. It is sold together with traceability, because every planned run needs its lots, at R2,100 per site per month excluding VAT.

Two jobs, two prices

Your FSMS answers one question: is the product safe and can you prove it. Production planning answers another: are the right people, materials and lines in the right place to hit the plan. Both matter, but not every site needs software for the second. A butchery or a kitchen does not. A factory running allergen and non-allergen products on shared lines usually does, because the run order decides the allergen risk.

What it does

  • Weekly and daily plans by line, product and shift
  • Capacity and people planned against the run
  • Allergen-aware run order, so changeovers are planned rather than improvised
  • Each run creates its own pre-start, changeover, CCP and line clearance checklists
  • Plan against actual, with downtime and reasons recorded

Questions we get asked

Why is production planning not part of the FSMS price?

A food safety management system is about risk, compliance and product safety. Production planning is about efficiency, resource allocation and capacity. Many sites need the first without the second, so we price them separately and you only pay for what you use.

What does it cost?

Production planning comes together with traceability, because every planned run needs its lots. The combined module is R2,100 per site per month, excluding VAT, against R1,690 for traceability alone. Integration with an ERP or scheduling system is scoped and priced separately.

How does it connect to food safety?

A planned run can create its own pre-start checks, allergen changeover checks, CCP monitoring and line clearance records, so the food safety paperwork for a shift is ready before the shift starts.

Plan the run and the paperwork together.
