Why Nigerian food businesses go paperless with ASCloud

Nigerian plants run long shifts on generator power, with records written on paper that travel between the line, the QC office and the archive. When an inspector or an auditor asks for three months of CCP records, somebody spends a day finding them. In ASCloud the record is made on the line, on a phone or tablet, stamped with the person and the time, and found with one search.

For groups with plants in Lagos, Ogun and Kano, one dashboard shows every site's completion rate, open corrective actions and overdue checks at the same time.

Buyers, markets and the standards they ask for

  • Multinational brand owners and contract manufacturing customers ask for FSSC 22000 or an equivalent GFSI-recognised certificate
  • Exporters of processed foods into the European Union and United Kingdom face importer checks on hygiene and traceability records
  • Trade into ECOWAS and the African Continental Free Trade Area rewards producers who can show consistent quality records

Setup, support and invoicing

Setup for sites outside South Africa is scoped on your written quote, including how much of the configuration and training runs online and whether on-site days are needed. Any travel is quoted before anything is booked. Support runs during South African office hours (Nigeria is one hour behind South Africa). Invoices are issued in South African rand, quarterly or annually in advance, because debit orders are not available across borders.

Straight answers

Questions from Nigeria

Can Nigerian manufacturers use ASCloud?

Yes. ASCloud runs in a web browser and on phones and tablets, and checklists already open on a device can be completed when the network drops and upload when it returns. Prices can be shown in naira and invoices are issued in South African rand.

Does ASCloud handle NAFDAC registration?

No. Product registration is a NAFDAC process. ASCloud holds the food safety system and records behind your products, such as your HACCP plan, GMP checks, cleaning, pest control, supplier approval and training, so the evidence is ready when an inspector or an auditor asks.

Which schemes can we run?

HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, IFS and SQF requirement sets, and GLOBALG.A.P. for primary producers, with ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 45001 as add-on modules.
