The ASCloud ISO 45001 module adds occupational health and safety management to an existing ASCloud plan for R2,500 per site per month excluding VAT. It holds ISO 45001:2018 requirements and, for South African sites, the records the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 calls for. The ISO 45001 revision is at Draft International Standard stage, with publication expected in the first half of 2027, and the update is included.
Why a food plant should run safety and food safety together
The same people walk the same floor. A cracked tile is a hygiene hazard and a slip hazard. A forklift near an open product line is a foreign body risk and an injury risk. The revision in progress gives more weight to psychosocial risk and work-related stress, hybrid and mobile work, climate-related risks such as heat stress, and contractors and outsourced processes. The module already has places to record these, and the full requirement set is updated when ISO publishes the new edition, at no extra cost.

Which edition of ISO 45001 applies now?
ISO 45001:2018 is the current edition. The revision reached Draft International Standard stage in 2026 and ISO expects the new edition in the first half of 2027. The module is updated when it is published, at no extra cost.
Does the module cover the OHS Act?
Yes. For South African sites the module holds the records the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and its regulations call for, such as appointments, risk assessments, incident registers and inspections, beside your ISO 45001 evidence.
How much does the ISO 45001 module cost?
R2,500 per site per month when added to an existing ASCloud plan, excluding VAT.
Can contractors use it?
Yes. Contractor inductions, permits to work and the documents contractors must supply can be managed in the system, which matters more in the coming revision because it gives more weight to contractors and outsourced processes.
