Same format, every pack

How each risk assessment works.

All 24 packs share one scoring method and one layout, so a team that has completed one can complete the next without retraining.

1. The register

An Excel risk register, already scored for a typical site, with the likelihood against severity matrix and drop down lists built in.

2. The procedure

A Word procedure the register sits under, written to the same clauses, so the method is documented as well as the result.

3. The completion guide

A line by line guide to setting your own scores, so every rating is one you can explain to an auditor.

4. The read me

The reference standards, and how to adapt the pack to your products, processes and site.

Before you buy

Straight answers.

What is a food safety risk assessment template?

It is a ready-made, editable risk register with a scoring method already built in. You adapt it to your own site, set the likelihood and severity for each hazard or threat, and the matrix gives you a risk rating that decides which controls, monitoring and verification you need.

What is in each ASC risk assessment pack?

Four editable files in one download: a pre-scored risk register in Microsoft Excel with the likelihood against severity matrix and drop down lists, the governing procedure in Word, a line by line completion guide in Word and a read me that lists the reference standards. RA01 and RA02 also include an instructional video link.

Which standards are the packs written to?

ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000 Version 7 and the ISO 22002 prerequisite programme series published in 2025 (ISO 22002-1:2025 and ISO 22002-100:2025). Where a clause exists, each pack is also mapped to BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9, IFS Food version 8 and SQF Edition 9.

How much does a risk assessment cost?

R690 each, paid once. No VAT is added at checkout and there is no subscription.

How do I receive the files?

By secure download straight after payment. The files stay in your account, so you can download them again whenever you need them. If a link does not reach you, email info@ascfoodsafety.com.

Can I see a pack before I buy it?

Yes. Every pack has a free sample preview showing the real scored register, a page of the completion guide and a page of the procedure. Use the See a sample link on each card.

Which risk assessments does an FSSC 22000 Version 7 site need?

Start with the subjects the FSSC additional requirements name directly: food defence (RA02), food fraud (RA18), environmental monitoring (RA19), rework (RA13) and PRP verification (RA01), then add the prerequisite programme packs that match your site.

Will buying a pack get my site certified?

No. A pack gives you the template and the method. You still score the risks for your own operation, put the controls in place, keep the records and show your auditor that the system works.
